Professional Experience

• Founding Partner of Essenz Soluções and Senior Researcher at CEBRI.

• Specialist in Regulatory Economics, with an emphasis on incentive remuneration models, tariff structure, impacts of distributed energy resources, smart grids and market models.

• Conducting techno-economic studies of renewable technology projects in the power sector and biorefineries producing advanced biofuels and/or chemical products, including the development of technical and economic analyses for hydrogen and offshore wind projects.

• Extensive experience in project management and people leadership.

• Track record of services provided to companies and institutions such as EDP, CSN, AES, UNICA, Eletrobras, CPFL, Itaipu Binacional, ONS, Eneva, Energisa, Light, ABEEólica, ENGIE, Norte Energia, Enel, Copel, Siemens Energy, the ABRADEE Institute, and ECLAC/UN.

• Between 2007 and 2012, he worked as a Senior Researcher at GESEL; from 2013 to 2019, coordinated the group’s distribution-sector projects.

• Senior Researcher at the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI).

• Partner at the consulting firm TECHNE/GESEL from 2010 to 2019. Also served as a professor at FGV from 2021 to 2024.

• Author of books and articles in the energy sector and a peer reviewer for international journals, including Energy Policy, Omega, and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews.
